Gibtelecom has confirmed the appointment of Noel Burrows, formerly CEO of Digicel Panama, as its new CEO.
Mr Burrows, a seasoned telecoms executive, will take up the role as from May 6 and succeeds Tim Bristow.
In a statement Gibtelecom explained that Mr Burrows has over 20 years senior leadership experience in telecoms, having worked with Tesco mobile in UK and Ireland, and O2 in Europe and South America.
Additionally Mr Burrows has experience in growing Telco businesses through market leadership, in brand, customer satisfaction and product innovation.
Commenting on the appointment, Chief Minister Fabian Picardo, who is also the Chairman of Gibtelecom, said: “Noel brings a wealth of expertise, as well as global wireless experience to Gibtelecom.”
