Gibraltar Scholars yesterday received their certificates with more than double the number of students achieving the award when compared to last year.
This year 16 local students achieved Scholar status after having obtained three ‘A’ grades or better, with one student recently grabbing the title of Scholar after a re-mark improved his grades.
Minister for Education Gilbert Licudi presented the awards alongside Senior Education Adviser Darren Grech at Bleak House. Bayside and Westside headteachers Michael Tavares and Michelle Barabich were also in attendance.
“Clearly this is a reflection of the hard work and the efforts that you have all made throughout the last two years,” Mr Licudi said.
