American R&B singer, songwriter and record producer Ne-Yo will be headlining the main stage on Saturday 3 September at this year’s Gibraltar Music Festival.
GMF organisers described the announcement as a “British exclusive this summer”.
Ne-Yo has written some of the biggest pop records in history for artists including Rihanna, Beyonce, Usher, Jay-Z and Celine Dion.
As an artist he has three Grammy Awards, three No.1 albums and has sold over 10 million albums worldwide.
“Ne-Yo will be bringing his undeniable swagger and worldwide hits to the Rock’s biggest stage. And with his seventh studio album on the way, expect old and new material alike during his prime time set at Gibraltar Music Festival 2016,” said a spokesman for the organisers.
Ne-Yo joins Sterephonics, Jess Glynne, Bryan Ferry, The Vamps, Foxes, All Saints and KT Tunstall and many more for Gibraltar Music Festival’s fifth anniversary.
More acts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
