Anyone considering fostering or adoption has been invited to speak to parents who have been through the process today at the Tercentenary Sports Hall.
In conjunction with the Gibraltar Government, former England and Liverpool FC footballer Mark Wright is in Gibraltar to promote the issue of the need for foster carers and adoptive parents locally.
“Fostering and adoption may be something that we don’t usually consider in Gibraltar but there are children in care who do need to be in placements whether that is through fostering or adopting,” Minister for Social Services Samantha Sacramento said at a press conference yesterday.
It does exist in Gibraltar, she said adding: “It’s an extremely beautiful thing to do.”
