Hook makes it three in UK galleries

Local artist Christian Hook today becomes the first Gibraltarian to have three of his works of art on permanent exhibition in British art galleries and museums.

In Liverpool this afternoon a portrait of actress Sue Johnston will be unveiled at the Museum of Liverpool as part of a tribute to the Hillsborough campaign for justice which will form part of the Museum of Liverpool’s collection.

Hook’s two other portraits are of actor Alan Cumming at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery and the winning commission for the Sky Arts portrait artist of the year 2014 competition which also featured in a book of the top 100 greatest masterpieces in Scotland’s national galleries.
