The pupils of St Anne’s School ran, jogged and walked around the 400 metre track in Victoria Stadium or Bayside complex for 45 minutes yesterday raising money for three locally registered charities as well as partaking in a fitness challenge. Joining the pupils were staff, auxiliary staff, parents and friends of the school all of whom raised money for Action For Schools – Sierra Leone, Cancer Research Gibraltar and Motor Neuron Disease Gibraltar.
The ‘Fitness and Health Challenge’ in its fourth year the event was the accumulation of a health and fitness programme where the pupils learn about the importance of being fit, healthy and strong. Focus has also been on eating well.
Kicking off the event with a warm up Zumba session was Janine Pereira from Gib Fit Club.
