A US Congressman who tabled a resolution in Washington defending Gibraltar’s right to self-determination said yesterday he believed the Rock and the United States would enjoy “long lasting and enduring” commercial and military ties.
Republican George Holding was speaking during a visit to Gibraltar alongside Democrat Congresswoman Lois Frankel, a co-sponsor of the resolution.

“I do believe that Gibraltar will have a close and long-lasting, enduring relationship with the United States, not only through economic ties but through military ties, and it’s an honour to be here.”
