RFA Mounts Bay stops in Gib before Governor’s mission

The Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessel tasked with ferrying the new Governor to Gibraltar stopped here yesterday for a short visit before his arrival next Tuesday.

The ship, which is on deployment in the Mediterranean, will leave during the weekend before returning next week with Lieutenant General Edward Grant Martin Davis, Gibraltar’s new Governor and Commander in Chief, and his wife Lorraine on board.

After they are dropped off at HM Naval Base next week, RFA Mounts Bay will proceed into the Mediterranean to begin its full operational tasking.
